Adolescent Treatment FAQs

We're here to answer any questions about this time in your loved one's life.

How does the school component work?

At Sanctuary Recovery Center at Roadrunner Home, we know the academic portion is very important and we want to support your child and your family in that aspect as well.

We are partnered with Mountain Pointe Academy, and their program is designed specifically for kids in treatment. They ensure your child gets the credits they need to stay on track and not fall behind on their schoolwork.

How often can I communicate with my child?

We know that communication with your child is paramount, and family involvement is very important to us. You will be able to communicate with your child as much as needed.

We won't restrict communication; you can contact us here. Our staff will frequently be in touch with you, and there will be phone calls throughout the week, as well as family therapy sessions.

Family involvement is incredibly important to us at Sanctuary Recovery Centers at Roadrunner Home.

What type of adolescents will my teen be exposed to?

When we talk to families and bring kids into our care, we go through a very detailed screening process.

At Roadrunner Home, we ensure that every child receives the best therapeutic value from their treatment. We make sure they are placed appropriately according to their needs.

What will visitation look like during their stay?

The family component is crucial to us here at Roadrunner Home. We believe family involvement, with parents and kids receiving treatment and healing, is very important.

You will have weekly visitations with your child, allowing you to come on the weekends to spend time together. Additionally, there will be family therapy sessions, providing significant interaction with your child while they are here.

We want your child to focus completely on their healing journey. Cell phones can be a huge distraction for both kids and staff, so they won't be allowed on site and must be left at home.

This ensures they stay focused on their healing.

We absolutely encourage any family to visit our location. See it for yourself—explore the rooms, the colors, and the atmosphere where your child will spend 90 days.

We welcome you to come check us out at any point; we'd love to show you our home.

We often encounter kids and teenagers struggling at different levels and times. For residential treatment, we ensure they meet the necessity for it through a detailed screening process.

We assess where they are, the frequency and severity of their substance use or mental health struggles, and the overall need for treatment. We will walk alongside you to determine and support your child's appropriate needs.
